George graduated with a first class degree in Music from Oxford University, where he was an academic and instrumental scholar, and has performed as a cellist at venues such as the Wigmore Hall, Holywell Music Room, and Royal Festival Hall. He teaches chamber music at Pro Corda, where he was a Leverhulme Fellow, and is a founding member of ARCO, the pioneering collaboration between Birmingham Conservatoire and Cape Gate MIAGI Centre for Music, Soweto. His composition has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 4.
